No, not really. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning that being hijacked. Further, if there is an issue, there are new security measures in place (like Federal Air Marshals) to help protect you. The only thing that makes me nervous is landings at LaGaurdia (the runway is *really* short).

Why? There's nothing to be nervous about. JFK is alright. Depending on what time of day you arrive, traffic can be horrible, but like Keith above said... getting from LaGuardia to Manhattan is a bit more of a challenge. I usually fly into and out of Newark. Very easy to get to Manhattan from there if you plan to stay in the city.

Flying into NYC is a snap. The dangerous part is getting from LaGuardia to Manhattan!

Why does NYC make you nervous,if thats the case you should be afraid to fly period.Remember those planes that were hijacked,werent from or heading to NYC.

not anymore. if you fly into JFk they have tons of security and i don't think there is any reason to worry.
