I fail to realize why a girl with obviously large love handles would wear tight clothing. I mean I know some men dig it, but I guarantee you it's the very small minority. Why can't they understand it's torture to see that?

because they see their skinny friends wearing the tight clothes and they want to be like them. i really don't see why they can't just diet, seriously, it's like, if u want to look like them, LOSE WEIGHT! i understand that its difficult, as everyone has a couple undesired pounds they want to lose, but seriously.. leave the tight clothes to those of us who are skinny.

They just want to fit in with what is popular culture. I remember back in the 80's when dressing punk was the"in" thing and kids were dressing that way because they identified with that sound and ideology. Then in the 90's there was the grunge look that was popular. You are just going to have to bare the times and in 10-20 years look back as the next generation has their thing.
But the major problem for young girls and guys is being overweight at such a young age. They are victims of the current pop culture...unfortunately that the pop is based on consumption of resources. Food, frappe-mocha smoothies, downloads, cell phone ring tones, computer at every coffee store buying stuff on-line. And 10-20 years they will be a burden on the health care system and their parents will have to pay the bills.

i dont know its gross... I saw some lady the other day like that with a rather LARGE WAIST wearing a tight tight pair of jeans with all her fat hanging out over it and a TIGHT shirt that was short... all i saw coming was love handles hanging out the sides of her pants.... i wish people would get the hint and dress in clothes that fit.. I'm not the skinniest girl myself but I wear clothes that fit.

How fat is fat?
Sometimes I wear things that are tight. I am 5'7" and weigh 35 over what my BMI should be. It is hard to get rid of some of my clothes that obviously do not fit anymore. It is DENIAL for me. I don't want to admit that I am overweight and need to take care of myself. I can make up excuses, but I need to get clothes that fit my body properly. (I cannot shop in the juniors/Missy area)

tight clothing, yea, that's bad but what's even worse is the hip hugger trend. Fine on a skinny girl but damn, that is a big mistake on the big ones. It's rampant on the white trash chicks. Nothing worse than going to the store and having to stand behind some 300 pounder in bright green skin tight polyester stretch pants. What is she thinking? Maybe they used to fit. lol

I say stop all that hating if you dont want to see it it's a free world and people can where what they please. Some of the girls that wear cloths that dont fit mean they have low self esteem and they think the have to wear little or no clothing to get guys to notice so dont talk about them give them complaments and maybe they will start to wear cloths that fit

Sometime they think they sexy.I have this ex large lady i know and she sem to want all her clothing to fit her TIGHT if you give her some thing that loose she say that she feel more comfort real her stuff tight.All her stuff is just a mess it don't look good at all.If you want to show people how big they are they need to just wear a sign telling people their size and weight.

It's like you said - there *are* people who like that. And I think you underestimate *how* many.
And... I've got very bad news for you: girls don't wear tight clothes because they want to please men/boys, but to feel nice themselves.
It is their own decision and if you can't stand to see them, shut your eyes or look away. Where's the problem???
Maybe they don't like your idea of "fitting" clothes - maybe they like to show what they have.
IMHO it is not anyones right to judge other peoples clothings - and especially not their *weight*.
If their body is not to your liking, too bad for you, but it doesn't really matter.
You simply haven't got the right to decide wether they should or shouldn't wear this kind of clothing.

You know, I have been asking that myself since I came to this country.(7 years). I believe it is because of "I like big butts and I can not lie" song. It used to be that women with large mouth and big butts were considered vulgar. Something changed there...
In Europe it is still considered ugly. Women are doing everything to conceal their butts and "love handles". It is the MTV in USA

Maybe they can"t find any clothes that fit and thats all she has to wear. Don"t look if it bothers you that much. some people don"t care about there appearance. Try and be nice shes already overweight and thats enough to deal with on a daily basis.

First of all stop criticizing others and take a moment to look at yourself. Next it's none of your business what "fat girls" choose to wear it's not like you bought their clothes, so you can't judge, it's really redundant (that means stupid) for you to say.
