There are many creams, oils and lotions for insect bites and stings. The key is getting mosquitoes to avoid you and move on.Citronella oil is oil my friend has been using from childhood to prevent bites; and it works.Calamine lotion has been used by a nurse who is a relative.Where I live, if an insect bites, we use the leaf of three different bushes /plants, rub them together and then rub the bite.I have use this method and it takes away the pain at least. But, if you do not live in such an environment, try the lotion, oil or antibiotic creams.

If you have a lot of them take a hot bath with Aveeno Oatmeal bath for itching. If only a few, I prefer Campho Phenique. Not sure of spelling. To prevent the bites in the first place, avoid eating meat and pepper and eat some garlic. Don't wear black or dark colors and avoid perfume. Good Luck.

TAKE A SHOWER AND PUT SOAP ON IT. OR SCRATCH IT UNTIL IT BLEEDS. ONE REASON WHY YOU GOT THAT MOSQUITO BITE IS BECUS UR USING SOME WEIRD LOTION OR SOEMTHING THAT ATTRACTS THE MOSQUITO OR U SMELL A LOT OR U WERE SWEATING A LOT. SWEAT, SMELL AND STUFF ATTRACTS MOSQUITOS. TAKE SHOWERS. THAT WILL PREVENT U FROM GETTING MOSQUTIO BITES. TAKE A SHOWER DAILY. IF U DO THAT I GUARENTEE U THAT U WILL ONLY GET A MOSQUITE BITE LIKE ONCE A YEAR. MOSQUITE REPELLANTS DONT WORK. DONT BUY THEM. OK?? GOOD. THANK YOU.

lol, my daughter and I have fun painting clear nail polish on the bites. It's not overly obvious so you don't have anything that needs taken off during waking hours and it keep air from getting to the bite, which is when it really starts itching. Works for us!

This sounds crazy but it really works....individual peices of scotch tape kept on the bite overnight will relieve the itchiness. (You can even see the "venom" that comes out the next morning when you pull it off.)

put soap on it. liquid soap. that could be an alternative to a medication that you buy at a store. Use medication if you have to. that's what my grandmother taught me to do.
To prevent from scratching it during your sleep put tape over the mosquito bite.
MOST IMPORTANTLY--DONT SCRATCH IT.
you need to ignore it. Even if it does itch.

This is an old camping/hiking trick. Make an "X" with your fingernail, this disperses the poison that causes the inflammation.

If you are allergic, Benadryl will help. Also I found that the burn medication that contains ladicane helps in stopping the itch.
