Female cats go into heat four or five times a year. However, a female cat can throw herself into heat any time she is around a intact male cat, and stay in heat as long as she needs too. If you don't want kittens it is not safe to have a female around a male cat at any time. Get her spayed! When I was younger I adopted a female cat. I didn't know she was pregnant. After she had her kittens and I found homes for them, I took her to be spayed and it was already too late, she was pregnant again. Since she was a totally indoor cat the only way she could have been exposed was to a male that I was pet sitting for two days!!!

If your female cat does not mate, she will go into oestrus as often as every two to three weeks, for several months each year, until she either mates or is spayed.
Please spay your cat. Cats that are repeatedly left to go into heat can develop ovarian and womb cysts and are miserable. Also if bred with a male she will continue to give birth all year round if left to mate whenever she comes into heat. She can even come into heat while still nursing kittens and be pregnant before the last litter is weaned. There are so many unwanted cats in the world. Please help control the unwanted by spaying and neutering your cats. Your cat will thank you for it.

they will go into heat multiple times a season until they mate. Season usually starts a few months after winter solstice and usually ends in September or October. Indoor cats who are only exposed to artificial lighting may stay in season year round! Estrus itself will last 4 - 10 days and will cycle (about every 2 to 3 weeks) until the female mates, is spayed, or goes out of season.
You should get them spayed. A lot of non profit places will do it for very cheap. About 35.00.

you incredibly ought to get her spayed as quickly as achievable. she would be in a position to be far greater gentle after. additionally, if she does pass exterior, even merely the as quickly as, she ought to advance into pregnant. there are such incredibly some undesirable cats around desperately desiring properties, that that's considerable to spay cats. Cats may be neutered/spayed from the age of six months so it rather is a appropriate time now to get her carried out.
