Where can my mother get help paying her light bill?

She is on chemo and local agencies are not helping. Her church has helped more than they can and I have no money to help with this situation either.

The utility company has a program, check them out. Where I live the utility bill has an insert about every six months about the program they have for low income families. Customers such as myself can contribute to this program. It may be different where you live. Try calling the Red Cross also. Don't get discouraged there are agencies out there willing to help, you just have to knock on alot of doors. God bless.

most utility companies have assistance with their billing. check with the company to see if they offer such things. other options are that some companies will not disconnect service if there is someone ill in the residence. she may need to supply a note from her doctor for this but i'm sure that won't be a problem.
also check to see if there is a commission on economic opportunity in your area, they might be able to help also. good luck!

Try other local churches or put a money bucket at local businesses that will allow you too..

first of all if your mom has children under 18 go to dcfs you also can go to salvation army go to the hospital where your mom goes and speak with the social worker try other churches other places if you dig deep enough you can find extra help good luck and my prayers to your family

pg&e has a program called care they pay 20% of the bill it is for low income

Try the Salvation Army..I know they do here. You can go thru the welfare system for low income and they can help you also.
