Because JEBUS (sp?) CHRIST IS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR! And anyone who doesn't believe that will burn in hell.

That's the very rational argument for a theocracy. Makes a ton of sense doesn't it?

Sadly a lot of people think this way.

If you have read your Bible you would know why. In Revelation you will see scriptures referring to 'the Wild Beast and ' Babylon the Great'. The wild beast means the The Devil or Satan and Babylon the Great. means Christianity. What we have is Babylon (Churches) and the Wild Beast (governments) They are both entwined. The Devil governs them both. In another scripture you will see that it mentions the harlot of Babylon riding the wild beast, which means that the churches or Christianity rules the government. There is only one religion, the one that follows Christ's teachings to the letter. They are the witnesses or Yahweh/Jehovah. Yes I know what you are thinking but Jesus himself said that these people would be hated and they are, so this proves that they are the true Christians. These people are wonderful, they don't drink in excess, they don't smoke, they don't divorce,or commit adultery they love their neighbors and they do what God has asked them to do, go and tell everyone what is coming and how to avoid it. There is no other religion in the world that does this. Your answer, in short, is that it was been foretold thousands of years ago that this would happen and it has. Don't worry about it, this system is almost at it's end.

Why would you want to accept anything anti-God groups, schools, and liberals tell you you have to believe. This country has a christian history. We have a constitution.we have a bill of rights. If and when the corrupt powers that be take away all freedom they won't give it back just because people decide they want freedom back.If someone doesn't like freedom doesn't mean everyone should loose it.Some day you may loose the right to speak out your views because some people don't want dissension.

Freedom of speech and beliefs! That's why people have a right to vote who should be in government! God answers prays for those who believe. Christians prays for Christians to be in the government. God answers right on time! Too bad for you because we out number the rest!

because for one thing, Christians have the right to vote as anyone else. and no, it is not entirely true that our founding fathers fought to keep it separate. yes, they fought for religious freedom, and for free speech, but not for an atheist nation. if a person believes that it is wrong to keep slaves, should they not speak up about the practice? people have to vote their conscience, so religion will never be removed from government.

I don't think it should really involve the government at all. The Establishment Clause in the First Amendment prohibits laws that involve religion. I don't think that the government should establish an official state religion, but I think our leaders should make their decisions based off their religion.

Actually, separation of church & state means that the government can't/shouldn't have one forced national religion. Other countries do this and look what happens.

It used to. And look at what happened in the dark/middle ages. Heck whenever someone made a scientific discovery during the Renaissance, they imprisoned him (Gallileo for example).
Religon retards progress.

Politicians know they will get votes if they straddle the fence on religious topics so they take them to work.

Religion and government work hand in hand to control the weak-minded people. If you can't make them fear Hell, you can make them fear the police. And vice versa.
