It's made of talc and can adversely affect your lungs. I am not sure but I have to believe it gets in your lungs if you eat it. Surely you can find something better to put in your mouth.
For a number of years now, epidemiologists (scientists who try to establish cause and effect relationships in diseases) have been interested in trying to find some link to the environment and ovarian cancer. Some of their focus has been on talc powder because it is a product that is commonly used in the groin area by women. Several of these studies have shown a possible link between talc powder use and ovarian cancer while other studies have not. One interesting study published last year (1996) was done by examining the ovaries of women who had had them removed for reasons other than ovarian cancer. In that study, talc powder was found in all the ovaries including the ones from women did not use talc powder on themselves. This suggests that talc powder could reach the ovaries of women who use talc powder on their babies.
The relationship between talc and cancer is by no means certain. It may turn out there is no relationship, on the other hand, it could be an important contributing factor in the development of ovarian cancer. More studies need to be done. Currently, there is absolutely no hard evidence to suggest talc powder use causes cancer in babies. However, the immediate danger of inhaling baby powder is clear. Therefore, I would discourage the use of baby powder.

You should visit a hospital/ doctor because, most likely, your body needs some ingredient that the baby powder has!

I don't think its all that good for the lungs, because it is so heavy going down, I would look up the wood Talc, since that is the main ingredient. I would think it would be something like limestone.

wheather it is a good or bad thing to do should not be the question. the question is why are you eating it in the frist place. it is not food. it is not ment to be food. it was not designed to be eaten or taken by mouth, so what in your head made you look at it and think I want to eat that

Are your pregnant?,
If yes, tell your Dr. It is probably a mineral deficiency. You can take a vitamin for that.
If your not pregnant, same thing.
It's just that I have heard a pregnant friend of mine say the same thing.

First of all, you are a faker, and if you were doing something like that you would have to have something wrong with you. If you breathe that stuff in too much you can get lung cancer and emphysema. So good luck with that stupid thing you're doing.

Do you do it on purpose or are you ingesting it while using it ( meaning are you getting it in your mouth while applying it elsewhere)...people who ingest non-ingestibles on a regular basis sometimes have a disorder called "Pica"...look it up...and go to your doctor.
