Even when people state outrageous things, true can also be found.

I believe that we all are dying one day at a time. But I also realize that each and every day is a blessing and should be treasured. Though both these statements seem contradictory, I am comfortable with them. Unfortunately, you friend only sees the dying part and not the fact that she has today to enjoy.

Sounds like your friend has a screw lose. But then again maybe she is dying? I guess from the point of birth we are all working towards death so maybe she just had an Epiphany or something. If she isn't really dying then I imagine its a mind game for the kids to deal with. Heck maybe the kids are raising the Mom.

Ficticious Disorder could be it. People who do not otherwise get attention they so desperately seek make up things like this to gain sympathy from others. I know someone that does this, and it is so annoying, and I have resorted to ignoring the issue altogether, thus not giving them the attention they want. If it becomes destructive to their life, or people's lives around them, they should seek counselling.

Maybe you should become his friend.
And she needs medical attention.
There is a name for it but I'm not sure i know the proper English name for it.
I think it's called a compulsive liar, and it's a rather serious mental condition.
She needs to see a shrink badly.
Before she damages her son, others or herself anymore.

Oh my gosh she is just an attention seeker and I think she needs help and social services should be called because I don't think she is a good mother because she is upsetting and scaring her son for no reason.

While some may say - "To get attention", it also might be a way she subconsciously uses to raise her blood sugar, if it is low.

If she is pre-diabetic, this condition can affect one's mental state. If she does not eat well, regularly, or the right foods, this can lead to the brain making wacky decisions to get a raise of blood sugar out of storage.
