In my humble opinion, the not feeding the fish but them still being alive it the big thing in this dream. There is something you want to do but you have been putting it aside and leaving unattended for a long time. It is time that you start up whatever it is that you have put to the side and complete it. Before wasn't the right time, now is.

You have to make some major decisions in your life. These are the 3 fish tanks. You have different paths that can occur with each of these choices. These are represented by the starving fish. If you don't make the decision yourself, it will be made for you, as you are not feeding any of the fish. Eventually, only one fish will live. This fish represents the path that you will end up with because of your indecision.

Fish
To see fish swimming in your dream, signifies insights from your unconscious mind. Thus to catch a fish, represents insights which have been brought to the surface. The fish is also an ancient symbol of Christianity and Christian beliefs. Consider also the common phrases "like a cold fish", "fish out of water" or something that is "fishy" about a situation. It may also imply a slippery or elusive situation.
Three (the number)
Three signifies life, vitality, inner strength, completion, imagination, creativity, energy, and self-exploration. Three stands for trilogy as in the past, present, and future or father, mother, and child, etc.
What I do is go through each aspect of the dream and try to figure out what each object or symbol means to me. What is your subconsious trying to tell you?

It sounds to me like your the kind of person that has a lot of things going on in your life. Your curious and interested in a lot of different things and you try to get involved with as many social activities as you can.
The fish tanks represent all of the different and varied interests you have.
The individual fish in each tank represent the individual facets and activities in each interest group.
The feeling of not feeding the fish is your subconsious telling you that your not paying enough attention to all of the groups...and that maybe you should try to narrow your interests down to just a couple that would be more manageable.
How did I do???

In order to truly analize a dream, you need to do it yourself. Ask yourself these questions,... What does everything in the dream represent to me?fish, water, tanks, number 3, surviving starvation, being the cause of the starving. And then you might get closer to the answer.

According to "The Hidden Meaning of Dreams" by Craig Hamiltonn-Parker, fish can represent insights into the unconscious. fish are often symbols used by the dream to describe psychic happenings or experiences that suddenly dart out of the u nconscious. They can also represent fertility. They can indicate that you are experiencing a period of personal growth.

The answer is by one's perspective. My opinion is this. A fish tank can be symbolic of an enclosed enviroment. It could be your subconscious mind saying that you feel trapped in your life and that you are trying to find a way out.
