I tell my best friend I love her all the time and she never asks why because she knows its real and I deeply care for her
I am concerned for her well being and happiness

I dont love her like a girlfriend I dont want to kiss her or have sex with her
But i love her just the same

She is different and special

She likes it when I remind her that no matter what... I care!

Saying I love you must be interretted and implied and taken all in the correct way or it may be confussed or even used to manipulate or change the dynamics of a relationship

Its a strong word but a helpful one to express your feelings of oneness and human devotion

YES especially when they dont mean it and you know that they dont mean it. U can always tell by their actions and the look in their eyes weather they mean it or not. Somehow i think the words are thrown around to freely. I have trouble beleiving it until i see it in someone's actions that is why my favorite saying is "dont tell me you love me unless you mean it cause i might be stupid and beleive it."

Yes, when one uses love so freely, I cant feel it's sincere at all.
To me, the word LIKE oftentimes seems like a more meaningful word. Love is used much too lightly and often by today's standards. Doya also notice how quickly it fades as well??? :(

YES!!! MY HUSBAND OF 16YR SAYS THAT HE LOVES ME BUT THEN HE TELLS ME WHY DONT I DO THIS OR THAT AROUND THE HOUSE.
OR HE SAYS WANTS A KISS AND IM MAD AT HIM AND I SAY NO AND HE KISSES ME ANYWAY.
WE DONT HAVE THE "ACTUAL MARRIAGE LICENSE" THAT SAYS WE ARE MARRIED, BUT LIVED TOGETHER THIS LONG AND ARGUE LIKE MARRIED ONES. SO MIGHT AS WELL SAY MARRIED.

i say i love you all the time ,and when i say it, i mean it. so, you are probably basing that on some other action that he/she has done towards you.
or possibly you are the one that isn't feeling the love.
