Not as sick as the mother forcing her to ask for John the Baptists head on a silver plate.

It was really her mother that wanted John the baptists head on a platter because John preached that her and the king were living in sin.
After dancing for her step dad the king, he said I'll give you anything you want. Her mother saw the chance to shut up the mouth of a preacher. So she convince her daughter to have john beheaded. I'm sure if John made her feel guilty for her living in sin with the king, she felt even more guilty for having John murdered.

It was a power perversion. The little bi*ch was spoken to by John the Baptist as though his authority was greater than that of herself, a spoiled little rich kid with nothing better to do.
John's authority was, by the way, the authority of one who spoke for God, so superior indeed.
Even King Herod, sick as he was, was saddened by her request, believing John the Baptist to be a great man of God. However, he was a slave to his pride and merely granted the wish to keep his promise and flex his muscle.
By doing this, the little bit*h had all but taken away her mother's power as queen and replaced her, while using her mother's honor as the reason to do so. Manipulate much?

The girl didn't want it her mother did. The girl had one wish from the king and she didn't know what to do with it. So her mother said to get John's head on a silver plater.
