The record high temperature for Honolulu is 95F (32C) and the record low temperature is 52F (11C). Average low temperature for August is 75F (24C) and average low temperature for February is 65F (18C).

In Hawaii you have more variation in weather from one part of the island to the next than you have variation over the year. If you stay on the windward (northeast) side of the island, you'll get more cooling tradewinds and rain. If you're on the leeward side of one of the taller volcanoes or mountain ranges (for example, in Kihei or Lahaina, Maui or the Kona coast of the Big Island), you'll be hot and dry most of the time.

On the other hand, the time of year does have a bearing on the where the surf is. Summer might mean decent waves for surfing and boogie boarding on south facing shores. Winter means monster waves pounding into north shore beaches. In opposite seasons, these beaches are "like glass", good for snorkeling.

Well the lows during the winter there is about 70. But the ocean is colder so I wouldn't recommend swimming in the ocean during the winter time. But to most locals below 70 degrees its cold. Most of all its pretty much stays tropical year round although the winter to the locals is when it starts to RAIN. Thats pretty much bout it. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't call it a winter. The highs are 83 and the lows are 68. The regular temps are 90 for the high and 74 for the low.
