Our society has reinforced men to think the younger a woman is the better she is. To look younger and less developed women remove body hair.
Also many men look at too much porn that features women who are completely hairless. So many man have seen these images from an early teen age when they were first curious about sex and sought out sexual material to satisfy their curiosity. From that early age they sexualize the de-haired vagina and become uncomfortable with the sight of the natural, unaltered hair on a woman's vagina.
Personally, I prefer the sight and sensations of a natual woman with all her body hair intact.

I shave. After the first time I did, there is a lot of areas with sensation that was covered by the hair before. It's much more pleasurable.

Men also dislike hair on women's faces. I don't know about the vagina one.

I hate hair in my mouth, plus odor seems to lurk more if there is an abundant amount of hair

I like a trimmed patch of hair and if you want me going down there with my tongue then have it very-well trimmed or bald

because the hair is thicker on the vagina and tends to cut their penis when having sex. my partner wanted me to shave mine because of it
