He could have an upper respiratory infection (URI) which can be very serious for cats. Get him to the vet as soon as you can to get him started on meds. I hope he feels better soon!

Check the size of your cat's belly. When there's a change in it aside the normal size, could be that your cat is pregnant and is in labour. If that's not the case then, the best thing to do is to take it to the vet for checkup.

Your cat might just have a hair ball, but If you are really concerned you should consult your VET.

i had a cat once and she made the same noises, and come to find out, she had a fur ball stuck in her throat, try and induce vomiting, i know it sounds gross, but she will fell much better.

He/she either has a cold or lonely. check with a vet and of there's no health reasons get him/her a companion.

he could have asthma; i think pets can get it too. i would talk to the vet. it could be serious.
