Why is it HARD for men to say what they really feel?

Guys, when they argue with their girlfriends get all "I don't want to say anything to ruin our relationship." etc etc

If a man or woman has been through a difficult life expressing feelings is extremely difficult, especially if there are a number of past relationship difficulties.

The best key is patience, understanding, and continued communication.

If a guy feel's they'll be snapped at for giving an answer, or loose something valuable if he cares he'll be hesitant.

Don't make it difficult for him and let him know you'd like to know how he really feels and be open to listening so less chance of argument try not to get frustrated.

Women are more important to men than they lead women to believe and alot is kept to ones self until the woman comforts the man enough and let's him know it's ok to express himself, half the time if a man tries to express himself if a woman's gonna leave the relationship it's often when the man says somethin the woman doesn't wanna hear, if you wanna know the truth, ask at a comfortable time when nothing is stressing either of you out.

I have many experiences when I cant understand why my action or my word, which to me was not significant at all and wasnt meant to be offensive, but turned out to be a very great deal and cause my lady to have all misunderstanding, piss off, angry...
When I couldn't understand the situation, why my girl to be over reacted on some things I cant understand emotionally, logically, then, it would be safer for me to stop saying anything more.
I guess man use more logic, and women adds emotional feeling on top of that, making things awkward for lots of men.. dont yo think so?

Sometimes we have to be careful with you girls in what we say because really, lets face it, some girls are hard to talk to when they are so sensitive in some areas. It's hard to tell what will set them off in a frenzy. Some men are that way too. Thats why it takes awhile to really get to know someone. Not all of us are mean like some girls think and we really do have a heart and we do mean well. But some guys are A$$HOLES.

It's really hard to say.Because of the communication problem which many men have.And also the big problem is sometimes girls[I don't mean all of them]fail to understand what they want to say.They think something else and complicate it further.
A man doesn't want to complicate things.But that turns out to be the biggest problem in expressing himself.
And of course men and women are different genders.You can't expect a man to think like a woman and we men cannot expect women to think like us.
These are some reasons why it is hard for men to express their feelings.

If a guy says he doesn't want to ruin a relationship he means just that. But if expressing his true feelings means doom then maybe the relationship should die before things get worse.

In our society a guy who is in-tune with his feelings are is considered to be unmanly. He is not allowed to show his vulnerabilities or express his fears. A man is suppose to be the pillar of the relationship and he feels that the best way to be that is by avoiding issues and doing stuff that compromise the relationship's stability.

Well, I think that when you really care about someone, sometimes you try to be more careful of what you say because you don't want to hurt them. It's not that you are trying to hide anything necessarily. If you didn't care about a person then you would just blurt anything out, and not care. Sometimes, it could be fear of rejection, after putting the truth out there, but mostly I think it is just feeling the need to be cautious.

okay, for us guys we don't always think before we talk, that is why we like not to say our feelings, cause we don't give what we say a second thought till it is too late, so guys don't wanna show there emotions soo we don't do anything to ruin a relationship by accident

probably becuz he just finds it unnecessary. and he thinks more words cause more mess and he just wants to skip all those and get to the bit where u kiss and make up.

guys are like that. they dont like going into details like females. anything that's too much of a hassle dont appeal to men. its just the way it works.

but if u're talking about expressing emotions... he probably doesnt do it becuz it'd make him feel vulnerable. no man likes that feeling unless they're really desperate.

Because he doesn't feel comfortable telling you how he feels. If he felt comfortable, he would express himself. The real problem is 'Why are you two argueing?' Is it little healthy stuff? It doesn't sound like it. He'll probably tell you how he feels if you two weren't argueing.
