Jesus said in the bible that a certain kind of oppression would not be removed except by fasting and prayer. I feel that fasting yields certain fruits that would not be as soon realized or understood without it. I fasted because I desired to be married. I prayed that God would sustain me and bless the fast because one shouldn't fast without permission unless doing it purely for health or physical reasons.

When fasting you feed your spirit and deny your flesh. Senses and your inner man become clearer, amazingly clearer. You learn to withstand anything life throws at you because you have learned how to overcome your flesh, as much as a human can.

I've been married over a year now. Glory to God.

I fast to renew my life. I believe we start to take the beauty around us for granted. Fasting allows us to cleanse our bodies and if we think constructively, our souls as well.

Because they are too fat. Unfortunately Americans don't have to so America is just slowly sinking back into the Earth. Not so bad I suppose.
