I don't know about "church," but in Christ you will find the real Divinity, not the imagined. The church is the place where the family dynamics work to help you grow into the "new" creation...when it is not just a social club. Finding the right church is as important as finding the right Jesus.

I don't agree with the previous answers, church can be boring no matter how much sleep you get, or how into Jesus you are. People make church boring, not God himself. It is important to be able to actually grasp the concepts being thrown at you, clocking in your 1-3 hours on Sunday has nothing to do with spirituality and won't save you a spot in heaven. There's no reason to sit through something you're not getting anything out of.
If there's no better service available to you, (maybe parents attend this church) then at least try finding a good youth group in the meanwhile, so you can discuss things that are relevant to your life at 16...not just repetitive scripture you can't always understand right away.
Although having a close relationship with Jesus is vital, its still important to congregate and fellowship with other people that believe as you do. It will help you in your daily life (dealing with real non-Christian world society) and it will help your heart in the long run.

I think it's great that you are a goddess...this shows a lot of healthy self-esteem and a positive energetic approach for life. Find a church where you can share this with other women who need to find a similar self-understanding. What will keep you awake? Look for a church open to different ideas and maybe one where you can get involved in a service or project. I'd love to see your great approach to life shared with young women who are troubled, battered women, homeless women. And,whatever you do, always be a goddess --don't let anyone take that away from you!

You might be cute but you are no goddess.
If you are into Jesus then study His word and follow His teaching. The church is not there to keep you entertained. When you wake up to the reality of Christ as your savior, Lord, friend, and begin to turn your life over to His will for you, you will not have any trouble staying awake.
You should get a copy of the movie, "The Perfect Stranger." You can buy a copy from Amazon at this link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EHPXP6/002-3495379-5255216?v=glance&n=130
It is well worth the investment. It will change how you look at Jesus and I bet it will change your life.
In the mean time there is a book that you can get for free. Go to this link: http://www.gfa.org/gfa/
Go down to the bottom left of the page and you will see where to request the free book. The title may not sound too exciting to you but you will be surprised when you read it.
It's free--what have you got to lose?

I am sorry, but how can you call yourself a goddess, and say you're into Jesus? If you'e into Jesus you'd know there's only one God and it's NOT you....to stay awake in church? That happens when you're interested in something right?

If you're falling asleep you may not be in the right church. If you're going to a more traditional church now, maybe you should try a more contemporary one (non-denominational or charasmatic?) There's a church for everyone...just keep looking!

if you're a goddess, try starting your own religion....you'd be able to stay awake with millions of people praising your name (plus there's very little start up costs, all you need is to get a few people believing your ideals are the right ones for humanity's salvation, which isn't that hard)...

First, you're not a goddess.
Second, get a good night's sleep so you can stay awake regardless of what goes on.
Third, if you get into the bible and learn and then listen to the sermons, you'll stay awake..;)

Nothing. Don't go. They just want to control you anyway. If you are curious about God, read a VARIETY of books. Talk to people about it. Do not believe organized religion. It's EVIL.
Believe (or don't) what YOU feel & THINK (so many people forget this one) is right.
The truth will present itself if you pay attention.
