While searching something I came across articles on white men and Black women. Out and about I see more Black men with white women. Near twenty two to one for each white male/Black female couple.

I wonder why is that? In the Black community I live in there is the the thought Black women/white man, has its roots in slavery. When the massa got tired of his wife because was too old, pregnant, saggy from kids etc, he'd just sneak over to the slave quarters, find him a young fresh one to rape. Why didn't that apply to the Black men choosing the white women? Having the white women, the Black man not only had what the white man has but has taken away from him Also there was the thought, that Black men and women bonded like they do, because they were both treated as second class citizens in a society that was runned mainly by rich caucasian men.

Intelligent thoughts with open-minds, not at pointing fingers at who is a racist and who is more noble earns 10 points.

Bill I appriciate where you come from. Yeah, there are other interracial makeups but there were no time to go into thm. And it was the white male/Black female I was reading on and noticed I didn't see much. I am getting some insight to why. Maybe it is that Black women do not find while men that attractive the way Asian women do not find Black men attractive. It maybe more personal than cultural. And even though it would be nice to have all relations devoid of Jim Crow and such. It is as fused to our culture as the A bomb is to nuclear energy.

The size of the black woman and white man dating community is based of the individual’s personal choice. It could either be that most black women are not as commonly attracted to white men as black men are attracted to white women. Or that White men are not attracted to black women as much as white women are attracted to black men. Either way it is an individual choice no matter what community they come from.
Also consider that it is more likely for a black woman to date men of Latino origins then those of white origins. The same can be said for white men are more likely to be dating women from Latino or Asian origins than black women. To each his own when it comes to interracial preference in dating but the trends are more one sided as you have stated.

A very touchy post which I really can not see a reason for posting but I guess I can reply with my view of the bases of the topic.
I grew up my father a demon of a man hated anyone who was not white. an evil man in my eyes who died a bitter old lonely fool. I never understood the reason behind the hate for another for the stupidest of reasons. skin color - where a person came from etc... I have my opinion and that is I see but one race and that is the human race - no one is better than any other and never will be. I studied slavery because it is part of history no matter how screwed up it was. We must keep in mind that it was a bad era but for some reason it is brought up in one form or another. this ever living battle will be here forever and it will haunt us. Thats a real shame - I think that some history should be removed from the books. Yes it took place but when something so dramnic that changes the course of so many and keeps the wounds of pain open. Well that is not healthy. I am not dating a woman that happens to be darker skinned than I am, not that I wouldn't but for the simple reason is none I have met connected on that level - meaning they either was not interested in me or had someone in their life. but it is the same for a woman who has skin color that matches mine or any color - meaning at the present I am alone. I look with my heart so I am blinded by appearance. I hate no one and when I met someone who share my views and we enjoy each others company no matter what the outside looks like then I will know I am indeed a lucky man.

In general, you tend to see more black man/ white woman relationships. However, there are white man/ black woman relationships. I have dated more white, Asian, and Latino men than I can count, mostly white. Dated not slept with..there's a difference! I think that a lot of men who aren't black are intimidated by black woman because they don't know how we may react when approached. This is due to negative stereotypes about black women, being overly aggressive, boisterous, and obnoxious. That's soooo far from the truth. The average black woman would react like the average women regardless of race. There are black woman who have an interest in white men but who won't own up to it because of how their fam/friends will view them. Black families can be just as prejudiced as other races. I've never had a problem getting a date with any man. I'm very attractive, smart, fun, and open minded. In fact, my friends "tease" me by saying that "I'm a white boy magnet". I prefer all men.

My best friends boyfriend of six years is white, and they have friends that are white males with black girlfriends. I know a few white boys with black girlfriends myself. I don't know why the ratio is what it is maybe it's because black women don't seek out white men as much as white women seek out black men. If you notice there are many more white people these days (men and women) who wants to be apart of black culture in some kind of way you see it every day through cars, clothes ,music ,dance ext. Just one comment : Regardless if your in an interracial relationship or not stay true to yourself ,don't let anyone make you sell yourself out. You can fool some but NEVER all !!! ya feel me ?
