The anemia may be caused by an underlying condition, that can also throw off your hormones causing you to miss a period. If doctors cannot figure out why your body is doing both to you, then your problem might be the result of one of two possible conditions, hyperinsulinemia (can throw feminine hormone production out of whack) or systemic yeast syndrome (may make you anemic and encourage hyperinsulinemia to happen).
