Anyone know the bhp on this engine? I have $1k to work with - cold air induction? dual flowmasters? power chip? How can I get the most bang for my buck???

Stick with that Ford and see if you can make the exhaust bigger and add some flowmasters, also add a cold air intake, look up Summit, or Ford racing, and a mod chip is not a bad idea, although you will have to use 93 octane forever.

For about a grand you can get the intake,exhaust and a chip. but if you're only looking at one thing at a time go with the intake or exhaust first, making it breathe better should be the first thing you do.

serious the sohc motor is very weak to start just be glads that
it has not given you any problems. this engine was very likly to go out around 100k . don't waste your money on this 4.0
