took a pregnancy test last night.?

Question

the horizontal line was clear to see, but then i looked closer and saw a vertical line. the only problem is, that line was skinny as a thread. could it have been the light? or does it mean that im pregnant?

Nikki -- the faint line showed up in 3 minutes. 30 mins to an hour, the test was already in the garbage.

my period is 22 days late. i've never missed my period this long. it always comes every month. i feel something in my vagina like i have my period, but everytime i check and/or wipe myself.. there's no blood. i've had loss of appetite. today i ate a meal that i really like, and i just took 2 bites and then after that i was already disgusted by it. i had to force myself to eat a little bit more. i threw up a little tiny bit one night. im always gagging. i sometimes have cramps, but they dont hurt as much as when im about to get my period. i've seen that no hpt is accurate. i've taken a few and they all came out negative. but this one was really weird. i will check in another week. i have an appt. for a physical on tuesday. wish me good luck!

How long after you took the test did the faint line show up? If within the allotted time you may be pregnant, but if you left it laying around and you looked at it 30 mins an hour or whatever later then most likely you are not pregnant eventually the other blue line appears regardless it should say something similar on the directions.

Or Just Go To A Doctor, It,s

Make sure you wait about 17 days from the day that you had sex to insure a correct test result. It could be that you took the test to soon. If you used your last pregnancy test, then you can go to a pregnancy resource center, and take one for free. It is also confidential, and lab quality. Go to optionline.org, click on 'find a center', and look one up that way, or call 1-800-395-HELP (4357), and ask them to find one for you.

on most pregnancy test you will see streaks going vertically across the test screen this is normal and it does not mean you are pregnant. quit trying so hard it'll happen. or take another one in a few days. read the instructions that comes with the test it usually has something on their that says something like that.

There are never false positives, but occasionally there can be a false negative. Definitely see if the doctor will do one for you at your physical. They can also do a blood pregnancy test that is more accurate, but that will probably cost you more if you don't have insurance that will cover it.

I suggest you take the test again in a week. You may indeed be pregnant but have a VERY low hormone level due to it being so early in your pregnancy. You may also NOT be pregnant and just have excelleng eye sight.

that is exactly what happened to me when i was first pregnant. i had a backache, mood swings very similar to getting my period, and when i took the test i was only 8 days late. Also consider if you have been under alot of stress, that could be the reason you skipped your period.

You are probably seeing the evaporation line. Take another test in a few days.

The exact thing happened to me, I took another test to be sure, had the same results & so I went to the doctor. So if I were you, i'd just go to the doctors, unless you don't mind the know/not know.

Take another one in the morning . That is when the hormone is the strongest.
