Where the waiters are best paid in NYC?

Your tips are usually determined by two things. The cost of the meal, and the quality of service you give. So, for the biggest tips, you need to be the best waiter you can be (I'm not going to bother explaining that), and work in a place where the food is expensive.

So, I'd try to find a job in those fancy restaurants that you, as a waiter, could never afford to eat at yourself.

This is NYC--- everyone tips-- Just don't work in a tourist place-- Tourists make the worst tippers.. Shoot for the mid to upper east side--not above 86th st-- that's where the bucks are.
