You should teel him"your cool and all but I like someone else". Just be plain out with him. If you don't he might get the sense that you like him more than a friend. If that other guy you like. Tells you that he likes you and then something starts between you to then the other guy will feel like he has been played. So you need to come out and tell him how you feel. So that he doesn't get mad at you. And you don't get mad at him for comeing between you and the other boy if anything was to happen.

Saying "I don't like you" will break his heart and he'll be crushed!
Say "I'm sorry, you''re a nice guy and all, but I like someone else. It's nothing personal. You know what I mean. You understand, right? I'm sure you'll find someone very special someday. There's plenty of fish in the sea. I'm sure you'll make a catch. We can be friends, though. Is that alright?"

See this question is the root of troubles. I like this girl that is the prime reason i wont tell her. If i decide to and this is the case i want her to say: thank you very much there's one problem i just told someone i would get up with them, i have to do that first. i am an understanding dude so i would be like yeah you can't diss that man like that maybe aome other time.

Whatever you do, don't lie to him or lead him on! Sometimes its very difficult to tell someone who likes you that you don't like him because you don't want to hurt his feelings. However the truth is always best. Why don't you just say you like him as a friend but there is someone else that has captured your heart. Tell him you still want to be friends if possible.

My my, must be quite difficult to you.
I think that the best approach is to take it softly but firmly.
Don't give him false hopes: you have to tell him that you don't like him in the same way. However, say it gently, don't push too hard: after all, he didn't do anything, and saying in his face something like ''No way! I don't like you back!!!'' would break his heart.
