As an African-American woman, I don't think i would like to be called a black person, (like something is wrong with us) Anyway if your young and live at home you may have a problem, but if your grown and on your own, who cares. Just make sure he is a good man because as bad as it may sound, in the event something goes wrong they will say it is because he is black and not because he is a man who messed up. You should also know that sex does not always mean love, he just has some good stuff and if he was your first, that could be why you may be mistaking it with love.

I am personally BLACK myself, But at this day and age it is sad to see that PEOPLE are still RACIST, it is ashame, my advice to you is think about the whole situation, If this person can and have been there for you to give you support, and met all your other needs besides SEX, i would say go for it... Because who is to say that this person might not be the next BILL GATES... and as far as your family.... Well, family can be the main one to bring you down... SOmetimes you have to cut your family loose just so you can let them know that you are in charge of your life, adn learn to make your own decisionas off of your own judements..... ALSO if this guy is only providing you with SEX, then what is the point.......

So what's the problem. If you love him, I hope your family starts to appreciate him. My sister was dating a colored guy many years ago and my parents didn't like him. They made her dump him and she has regretted it ever since. I felt so bad for her cause she did love him. If you love him don't give up on him. This is your life but keep your parents close. Make the right decision.

I hope it's not just about the sex! If you love him, it is going to be difficult for your family. But perhaps it will be a good thing, to help them be more accepting of other types of people. Good luck.

Do you even speak English? Just ignore what your parents say if you love him so much. If I were you, I'd rephrase this question.

learn to speak English first, i don't agree with what you are doing either, but you must be from Europe where this kind of relationship would not be tolerated....And now that your in America, you think....(I can do anything i want)
