I bought a car on May 24th and I've been waiting for the seller(a dealer) to give me the new license plate AND one of those registration sticker since it's expired. So It's basically been a month and i was just wondering how long it's suppose to take?

It all depends on the state you are in and what your local laws are. In the state of PA the temporary plate is good for 90 days and your new registration card and plate sticker will come in the mail. For out of state customers, who buy their cars in PA, they have 30 days to take their paperwork and tax check to the DMV.

If your temporary registration has expired call the dealer, they should be able to help you.

The dealer should have handed you the title when he handed you the keys. You should not have left the dealership without them! Go back and demand that they give you the title IMMEDIATELY or refund all of your money IMMEDIATELY!

A dealer CANNOT legally sell a vehicle without a title. He can't even sell it to a JUNKYARD!

Although some dealers in some states will take care of the tags for you, it's YOUR responsibility to make sure that this is taken care of.

I did the title transfer for my car and received the title in the mail less than ten days later (California Dept. of Motor Vehicle).
