How tall are your parents? That is a indicator of your height if they are both tall or if they are both short. Do you have siblings or Cousins? At what age did they shoot up in height? When I was 14, I was 5'7". Most of my classmates were up to a year or more older than I. I was tied for tallest girl in the class and there was only 1 boy who was taller than us. Most of them were a whole lot shorter than me. I thought I would never find someone that would be tall enough for me. Guess what, the boys grew up(at least in height). Do you know what else? The Girls Grew up?
So if most of the girls were not at their full height at 14/15 and then they grew taller. Who knows at this point how tall you will be.
Don't smoke - it stunts your health.
Develop a tall personality. By being kind and thinking of others, people will Look Up to You regardless of your height.
Make friends with some Taller kids so that you have a protection when you need it. (I'm Kidding, but a little serious)
Stand up straight with your shoulders back and down. Keep your head over your shoulders. If you carry a heavy backpack watch for leaning forward to compensate the weight. This could make you look shorter and feel shorter and it is bad for your back. Why have all of that weight holding you down. If you can get a backpack that rolls so you won't be putting all of that downward pressure on your spine.
Smile and enjoy your life. Whether you grow taller or not. A tall person hanging their head in shame does not look tall. A shorter person with a Clear Conscience can have a Twinkle in their Eyes and a Smile on their Face. Be the best 4'11" Girl you can be this year.
Next year maybe your arms and legs will be inches longer and you'll have to adjust to walking again.

No, I don't think so. Being 13 years old is being only at the beginning of the adolescence, and by that the beginning of a quick growth. So, I don't think you'll stay this height long, since until puberty, you grow at a rather normal rythm. Who knows, maybe you'll end up rather tall =)

Women come in all sizes. Above 7 and a half feet, you will be considered a giant. Below 4 feet and you are considered a little person (dwarf). Avril Lavigne is 21 and not growing anymore. She is 5'2" but when she was 17 her album sold millions of copies.

Well you are not finished growing yet. Girls usually continue to grow until 18 1/2yrs of age while boys/men grow until 23-25.

I am 12 and 4 ft. 9in. We both have more too grow so hang on tight there. We are both at the bottom of average but we are not short. 4'7'' is short 4'8'' is short but we are not short.

no 4ft 11.5inches is not short for your age. i have a older sister who is 36 and she is only 4 11inches

No. The average height for a thirteen year old female is from 4'9" to 5'6". You are in the average zone.

No, it's not short for your age. You have plenty of time to grow. Don't worry about it.
