I was wondering how much it would cost - ballpark $$ - to get four wisdom teeth removed with a general anesthetic. I'm sure prices will vary based on special conditions, but I just need a ball park range. Oh, and I don't have any insurance, which is why I need to know the total cost of the prodecude. If anyone knows, it would help me out a lot. Thanks!

The general anesthesia which frequently if not always includes a hospital admission and perhaps a stay increases the price beyond those previously listed.
As you already seem to know, wisdom tooth extraction is usually more involved and costly than regular molar extraction.

I second the recommendation to look for a dental college, and try to get in there for the extraction. The Residents -student dentists are well supervised by excellent experienced Dental professors. My regular family dentist is one of those teachers. I trust him highly.

I agree with the choice of having all four removed at once if it is possible. That is what I did, it worked well. But I was in the military so did not have a bill delivered to me. I would not recommend enlisting inthe service to get your dental work done!

Good Luck!

Last summer I had to have one of my molars pulled. With Novocaine I only felt pulling and tugging, but no pain during the procedure. Including x-rays it cost about $250.00 for the one tooth. I don't know why you'd need to be put under general anesthesia to have your teeth pulled. Your dentist may offer a payment plan. I was lucky, mine suggested Care Credit (http://www.carecredit.com/). Granted, Care Credit's interest rates are rather high, but it could help you pay for it over time. And you could always call around to different dentists and ask their rates to extract 4 teeth. None of us likes to go to the dentist. I pray all goes well for you. God bless!

I had one pulled before i got insurance and cost me 150 but when i got insurance it cost me 50 bucks so your best bet is to try to get some insurance or try one of those sliding pay scale programs

Hey Bob, do you have a dental school in your area? They do dental work on patients, with fully licensed dental surgeons, and it's real cheap! We've benefited from Baylor Dental School, I can tell you that.
