I've tried everything with no success to open a beer bottle with a gasket cap, like the one shown here: http://www.northernbrewer.com/bottling.html . Any beer enthusiasts know which part to force which way? Any tool needed? Would a bottle opener help with these?

if you cant open the bottle you must not want whats inside very bad. I would first try a bottle opener then maybe a hacksaw or if that doesn't work drill a hole in the top and strain the beer. I'm sure I could get the beer out of the bottle

This type of bottle cap is not twist top so a bottle opener is necessary . But many have alternative ways .

I would guess a bottle opener. That doesn't look like a twist off type cap, so that's what I would use.

That is for sealing the beer in not to open it. Use a cigarette lighter or another bottle of beer.
