Please post your answer and country --------------I have been watching a video about Flash and the switches are the other way up and just woundered if other countrys have there switches the other way up or if it is a mistake

In Jamaica..
DOWN = OFF
UP = ON
but we also have switches that turn side-ways
RIGHT = OFF
LEFT = ON

Only in America the switch is OFF when its DOWN. Other countries have the opposite. Chances are they will change to natural way i.e. Up=On, Down=Off

I am from New Delhi, India and here if a switch is down it's OFF... And this is the normal way... But u can still change the wiring and it'd be ON when it's down & OOF when up !!!

In England, switches pointing down = ON; In Europe and US it is the opposite.

Traditionally in the USA if a switch is up it is on. Sometimes they get wired wrong and it's the other way.

It could be either . Not that the switch was wired wrong but was put into recepticle upside down

i live in the US and here when a switch is down it is off
same in india....im originally from there
