You will eventually get used to them. I have had them for about 10 years now. You will be able to tell the difference in your eyesight as to whether you have them in or not. And you will be able to look at your eye and tell if they're in there.

Some tips:
1. keep a small mirror near the place where you put on the contacts, to use to check their placement.

2. For putting them in: keep only a small portion of the contact on a finger tip. The smaller the contact surface that touches the finger, the easier it comes off the finger, and stays on the eye.

3. Practice makes perfect:
contact lenses take a while to get used to (I think my first took a couple weeks). However, after a while, it'll be pretty easy, and you'll appreciate the new-found eyesight, without the, at times cumbersome, presence of glasses.

I*ve worn them for about ten years now; First few times it took me an hour to put them in, it does get easier. I use a magnifier mirror then hold your one eye closed to see if yu can see out of it, then vice versa. Contacts go to wet eyes so don*t have your finger tips too wet, you want them to slip in easily.
I still need a mirror to put them in, but I can take them out really easy.

I put mine in, then I turn my eye to the outside (right or left depending on the eye) until I hear the air bubbles squeeze out of it. Or, I push it onto my eye until I hear the air bubbles squeeze out, and still look to the outside to position it properly. The contact is always fairly wet when I put them in, and I can barely hear the noises. Hope that helps!

It just takes practice. But check to make sure if they are the right size with your eye doctor and I would recomend Night and Day contacts. That is what I have.
