Heck yes. When I went on an archaeological dig for a class, there was bamboo growing near the back of the site. A bunch of us jumped on a stalk that was laying on the ground and it just sprung us back off. That stuff is super strong. Ouch!

Gee, I dunno, this one is soooo tough I'm sure, *lol*....

Kendo players use a mock sword made out of strips of bamboo called a shinai....and they also have body armor on when they spar. If I recall my research correctly, even with light-to-no contact training, they still have to wear thick gloves and facegear to protect themselves from occasional accidents....

Not to mention, in some tropical nations, folks still make *houses* with the material....but what I really want to know is:

Is somebody in Southeast Asia asking the question, from his bamboo house: Would getting hit by one of these "wooden 2x4s" hurt?

i do not imagine there is ever an excuse to hit a baby with any type of stick i do not imagine it become very tremendous of you to call your cousin a nerd or a dork, even if if is his. yet i imagine you uncle become way out of line to hit you it really is as a lot as you on even if you tell your father and mom about it

it dependes bambo can grow to a width of a pencil to the width of an axe handle it also depends if it gets dried it the sun it might break easly
