Kerry finally has resolved to push for a deadline, as the anti-war movement [and most Democrats] has long demanded.
Democrats have invented a new formulation, to set a date for beginning to withdraw this year. Therefore, instead of arguing with each other over when to withdraw, they are in agreement on when to begin leaving.
Is this progress towards ending the war and seeing our familes come back home soon?

No. we can't just pull out of Iraq before its own government is stable. Then it would be another Vietnam. If we just pick up and leave, the country will turn into a police state, much like Somalia did during the Clinton administration.

NO. When you tell the enemy when your leaving the warzone, they'll just lay low until then, and as soon as we leave they will destory the country. Arbitrary deadlines set by dumbass politicians do nothing but aid terrorists. We leave when we're done, thats all there is to it. I don't care if your against the war, we are there, and we need to stay until the job is over and the Iraqi government and military are powerful and secure enough to handle it on their own.

No. In fact it is a reversal of progress.
The war on terror will be won when the terrorists believe that we will never give up. All Kerry and his buddies are doing is encouraging our enemies and risking the lives of your soldiers for their personal benefit.

you and another guy get in a fight.
He says he's only going to fight for 2 minutes and then he's going to walk away and call himself the WINNER.
So you stay out of reach for 2 mins. and as he turns his back ,you pick up a brick and brain him.
Then you go and burn his house down with his family in it.
Thats exactly what will happen if Kerry and freinds get their way.
