I bought a basic, compact digital camera (non-SLR). It works well, except that when I have the photos developed, every print has on it the time and date on which the photos were taken.
I have looked through the instruction manual, but cannot find any information on how to stop the time and date appearing on the prints. All I can find are the instructions for altering the time/date, so that they are correct.
Has anybody with the same camera as mine found a way to eliminate the time/date stamp? If I can't eliminate them from the camera, could a photo-processing company erase this information, so that the prints don't show them?
My camera is a "Premier" brand, and the model number is
DC5085.
If someone could help with this I would be VERY happy. Thanks"

Somewhere in your camera settings there should be an option to turn the time stamp on and off. I don't know this brand of cameras, so I can't tell you how. I really wish I could help. sorry. I can't find a manual online either so I can't help from that either.

I'm not familiar with the brand or camera (unfortunately) though I do work in a photo processing lab. I have experienced similar cameras and there should be a menu function to turn it off. It can be a bit hidden with digital camera menus, so you need to be patient to find it (sorry!). If it's not, it sounds like a rather bad flaw with the camera, it should at least give you the choice. You may have to phone/e-mail the company help service to find out (manuals can be quite irritatingly confusing)

As for whether or not a photo processing company can eliminate it, then the answer is no. The technology that most photo labs use is very basic. Little lab editing is needed due to the 'perfection' & self camera editing (the ability to delete duff ones). When the lab is sent the pics it recieves them as copies of the files on your memory card (exactly the same is if you were copying files onto a computer). From there we just print them straight out. One answer may be cropping, and there are self-service machines which do allow you to do that, but it would make your pic smaller and may not work (the date might reposition itself after the crop, depending on how cunningly clever it is)

Good luck, let us know how you fair!

Most should have a way to turn this off. My Pentax 35 mm and Fuji Digital do. I will see what I can find on yours, if, no one answer.
I am back, and found nothing so ate Lunch! Ha!
On my Camera we will see if yours similar. Go to your Menu and scroll looking for "DPOF" this Digital Print Order Format. Select it and you should see a screen say "Without Date" "With Date" select and OK it, then exit. Hope this will help/work.
