Why did he create living viruses that evolve to win and have a will of their own to attack and destroy it's host?

kat: can anyone else believe this?
"god created a vaccine"?
He's not doing a very good job, we only have several vaccines that only give you a few years immunity.....and how many viruses are there? OMG...people. come on.

johnny s:
some word was retranslated "virus" in the bible thousands of years ago?
lol. what exactly did you think they thought a virus was in comparison to a bacteria, you do understand that we only relatively recently found out they even exist, right? I wonder how many microscopes they had back then, if they "said" virus, how in the world would they know what they were talking about!? sheesh

quite honestly, I dont' understand how dying in childbirth and a virus could be "evil" since evil is something that man chooses. How could the "good guys" be winning anything back? are you talking about all the wondrous medical advances man has created SOLEY THROUGH SCIENCE, the same people who would destroy religion completely 99% of them believe in evolution, making way for all technological advances.
God's grace or gifts didn't inspire scientific advancments, simple intellectual observation and breaking the confines and taboos of religion did!

Christian View: Basically, we brought all evil to the world when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of eden. Before that, there weren't things to harm us. We did the one thing God asked us not to do, and we have been paying for it ever since.
Scientific: Things mutate...what may have started out as no danger to humans would over a length of time change depending on what enviromental factors they were exposed to. Hense an organism which never caused a problem before could mutate into a form dangerous, or even fatal to its host.

God created the world and all was good. Satan created nothing. Evil is not a thing. Evil is a perversion or a mockery of the good. The prince of darkness couldn't create anything but he could twist the world that God created and cause famine, war, disease, etc. Seeing what had happened to his creation, God determined to save it by sending his son as the great hope and salvation for his beloved people. So when the prince of darkness was reveling in his achievement of death over God's son, he was executing himself. Death was no longer the threat.
CS Lewis captures this in The Chronicles of Narnia, particularly in the Lion Witch and Wardrobe. He also wrote a wonderful book called the Problem of Pain. It is so hard to understand how evil exists in God's creation. I don't really get it, either, because I can imagine a world with free will and no deadly viruses. But the good guys are winning. We've cured most of the childhood diseases that once ravaged mankind. Women once died in childbirth routinely. It still happens but it is now very rare. The good guys are taking back some of the evil that Satan tried to spawn in God's creation.

If bacteria didn't exist all the dead rotting matter would fill the earth and we couldn't live. It eats up dead animals and plants and people. But as every good thing as the ability to do it can take on a life of its own and attack and destroy healthy tissue.
Clean conditions keeps these virus under control. All dead animals have deadly bacteria. That's why eating dead animals doesn't make any sense. But, when there is a pile of dead animals or diseased animals laying around it becomes a breding
gound for deadly bacteria. The people in the beginning didn't eat dead animals and the earth wasn't over crowded and conditions were such that viruses didn't exist. But man has ruined the enviroment, by not controlling disease and dead animals and people and Virus exist. So we caused it so can we blame god?

God is great. Bless the food on my plate. That is the God for the pleasure people. God in the original place of creation made stuff that would become life as well as just stiff stuff. The same method a virus can make another virus is the same way we are living and growing. One wiggly thing can copy in a special mixture and make two wiggly things. It doesn't matter if it is a DNA strand or a virus cupcake . It can make a mold and a copy to replicate. This is why the computer bugs are called viruses too. God loves you to learn how to survive as well as to be feeling good inside.

If you look in the Bible, there are an amazing number of people that God wants his followers to murder. For example, in Exodus 35:2 God lays down this commandment:
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.
Think about that how many people work on the Sabbath -- all the employees of Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Linnens & things, grocery stores, convenience stores, power plants, airlines, hospitals, emergency services and on and on and on. Don't rabbis, priests and preachers work on the Sabbath? God wants all of them dead.
Then look at Deut 21:18-21. It says:
If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father and mother, who does not heed them when they discipline him, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his town at the gate of that place. They shall say to the elders of his town, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of the town shall stone him to death. So you shall purge the evil from your midst; and all Israel will hear, and be afraid.
That is a whole lot of teenagers that we need to kill.
Then there is Leviticus 20:13:
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them.
All homosexuals need to be killed.
What about this:
If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbour, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.
That's a lot of people who need to be killed.
In other words, if we actually listened to what God says, we would need to kill at least half of the people in America tomorrow.
After all, Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand for ever."
The word of the Lord tells us to kill half of the U.S. population.
There are two things in this that show you that God is imaginary. First there is the utter stupidity of these verses. Second, there is this fact: If God is an all-powerful being, he would kill them himself. There would be no need for people to do the murdering. These people would already be dead, and Wal-Mart would be closed on the Sabbath through lack of employees.
Notice that believers completely ignore these parts of the Bible. That is because they know that the verses are insane. By acknowledging that their God is insane, they prove that their God is imaginary.

No one can answer that completely. But I can tell you that part of the reason sickness and disease affect us is because of the fall. Because of disobedience, humanity was removed from the Garden and left on this earth where discomfort & suffering are part of life. Part of that is as discipline for the actions of Adam & Eve - part was so we undersatnd that this life is temporary and that we will eventually move on to Heaven & glorified bodies that don't feel pain and do not get ill.

If we weren't here as some kind of experiment or some test, and we DID'NT have any adversity. then think it about man what really would be the point of it all. It's a like football game with no defense. Where would be the achievement? with adversity theres no achievment. without achievement theres no glory, joy, nothing really to be happy about, and that just leaves melencholy, boredum, and depression. and that would suck.

It's like an outward sign/symptom of SIN, whereas obedience to God brings health.
As a part of the Law of the Jews, God through Moses....
Deu 28:58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
Deu 28:59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
Deu 28:60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
Deu 28:61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
Deu 28:62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.
Deu 28:63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to naught; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
Extended generations of the sin & Death which entered the world when man first sinned.
