my dog keeps wheezing. is there something wrong?

sometimes, after running a bit or aometimes even while just resting, my dog will start wheezing. it'll go on for about 30sec-1min, then it'll stop. i worry that there might be something wrong. does he have any health issues? if he does, what can i do about it?

Its possible that he either has a cold or allergy. What is happening in the area he is in when he starts to cough? I would take him to the vet and explain what is happening and the circumstances. It could be several things that could range from minor stuff to something more serious. Definately take him in for some hands on to a good vet.

My dog was doing the same thing, so I asked his vet. Turns out my dog has allergies. To combat this, on days it's really bad, I give him a benadryl. makes him a little sleepy, but he can breathe ok. He weighs 34lbs and he gets one capsule or tablet.

My dog does it to. If you are walking him does he goe where you don't want him to go and you pull on the leash. And he doesn't come. That may be why he is wheezing. E-mail me at [e-mail]

it might be he's too warm or he's tired when he weeses next put your thumb under his lip if it isnt wet he is dehidrated
