Because Semitic peoples, Arab peoples, and peoples from Europe, are all Caucasian.

people think Jesus is white because it was the whites who first draw the picture of Jesus and since they are white then definitely He will also be drawn white. Those who were able to sketch the image of Jesus first never use colors but it was the whites who developed it into a color picture. This is the reason for your question. But the issue now is Jesus is White, Black and whatever you may see your self. If your parents are black you are also black so if Jesus is your father and brother then He is of your color.

Most of the paintings of Jesus we see are from the eyewitness accounts from those who actually saw Him while He walked the earth. You can not argue with that. That also clears up the awful perspective that He was a female or, as you put it, another organism altogether.

So they make Nordic in a place where people are of fair to dark skin.

hi there, it is historical fact that Jesus was a Hebrew, if you want to see he probably looked like, look at a picture of any native Israeli.....my favorite depiction is a print called the laughing Christ...which portrays Jesus as a joyous revolutionary rather than a somber ascetic

Jews were God's chosen people. Therefore, Jesus was put with them and not any other race. I haven't ever seen a black Jew or any other Jew that wasn't white.

Jesus was a middle eastern Jew, so probably with darker skin, hair, and eyes than how he is typically pictured.

who in the heck told you HE (not she) was white?
if you are going by some artist's rendering of him, let it be known that no one had a picture of Jesus to go by. you need to talk to the artist.. not the believers.
personally, knowing that he was born in Israel, I would imagine him to be olive complexion, but you know what? his skin color has no bearing whatsoever on anything... it's all about who he is, and what he did.. nothing else matters.
