So, my boyfriend is leaving today. I just saw him for the last time I will be able to for two weeks. We have been going out for over 8 months and the longest we have been with out contact from eachother is 2 days (and after that two days the next time we saw eachother we couldn't let go of eachother for like five minuets). We didn't see eachother for a week, but we talked to eachother on the phone everyday. Now he is leaving on a family vacation for two weeks, in which he will not be able to contact me at all. I already feel lost. He just stopped by and said he will miss me so much, and we said our goodbyes...he actually got tears in his eyes when he left. And I cried as he left too. My question is, is this a healthy relationship? We love eachother so much that we actually feel lost when we can't be with the other. Are we too dependant on eachother?

I don't think so - it's normal to miss someone you love when they're leaving and you won't talk to them for 2 weeks! I think as long as you keep your individual identities and make sure to keep your friends and interests, you'll be fine. Use the time apart from him to take up a new hobby, or do interesting things that you can talk to him about when he gets back. I hope the two weeks go by quickly for you!

Only you can really answer that question. In my opinion it sounds like your relationship is fine. I've been with my boyfriend for almost seven months and the longest we've gone without seeing each other is three days and even then we had contact through text messaging. We talk everyday too. And in my opinion communication is majorly important in a relationship. If you can't talk to eachother about even the everyday stuff then what's the point. But in my opinion, ur just fine. I know that its gonna be hard not to have any contact though. And I'm really sorry for ya!!!!!!!

It's perfectly natural for you to feel this...you obviously love him very much. Two weeks isn't really a long time (although it will feel like an eternity for you). Know that he is missing you just as much as you're missing him...and you'll get through it. Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder. What a nice welcome home you'll give him!!!

Sounds like he is obligated to do stuff for his family and not for himself and he is regretting that.

I would keep in contact as much as you can. Don't give up the ship until the captain says he doesn't want you anymore.

hmm, I'd say yes. If he leaves you could you still function. I mean we all know it would hurt like hell, but could you funtion? And vice versa. If this is both your first loves, well that explains it all...
