When I take pics with my digital camera I get too much sunlight in the pics. How can I avoid too much sun so I can take better looking pics? The digital camera that I have is the Olympus 115/X-715.

Study all you can find on composition and techniques. Study your users manual learn your camera thoroughly.
Study digital camera techniques.
Study filters and how they can make improvements for your photos, esp. polarizers..
Keep a record of the photos you take in a little notebook so you know what you did on a particular photo and can refer back to it.
Then Practice Practice practice! Take hundreds of photos of all different types.
