Its great to live in Hawai'i wish I was moving back home. Just don't get appauled by how expensive it is such as gas and other things. But Kailua is a beautiful town I'm actually from Waimanalo the town near Kailua. Kailua also has beautiful beaches most of the time if you are going to live near the beach its just a walk away or even a drive away. I haven't been back home since 2005, but when I was home Kailua has changed a lot. They made it look much more beautiful with trees growing in the middle of the road. It just looks more inviting. Well anyways good luck on your families move to Hawai'i I'm sure you guys will enjoy it very much.

All of the above, but lots of white people in Kailua. Make sure you venture to other parts of the island to experience Hawaii...

it is beautiful in kailua, just like any part of hawaii, just way more expensive. kind of like brentwood. the change will be over 5 dollars for one gallon of milk, gas prices higher, starbucks isn't everywhere, there is no in n out, only one carls jr, but still 7 11s everywhere. more drug abundance, not only pakalolo, but also the batu (crystal meth). over 40% of the island is hooked.

It is Beautiful there, like another world, perfect weather, kind of expensive to live there. There isn't the humidity there as like florida, also no snakes or rabies in Hawaii. A family member lives there. i"ve been there a couple times.

There will probably be quite a few positive changes in your move.

Gorgeous beaches
Beautiful sunrises and sunsets
Fresh Air
Clean drinking water
Excellent public transportation system (www.thebus.org)
People wave "thank you" when you let them cut in front of you while in traffic.
Experiencing the "Aloha Spirit"
