In the past we would be attacked (i.e. 1st World Trade Center attack, Marine barracks in Beirut, Blackhawk downing in Somalia, Embassy attacks, etc.) and our response has been little to non-existent. On 911 we were attacked and this President has done something. It was a very tough decision but he made it. The path has become rough, many who supported him have changed their minds and no longer support him, but he has stayed the course. I do believe both the president and the troops deserve my support. They are doing what has not been done for a long time. Fighting the enemy, if you believe we should have gone to war with Iraq or not Al Queda is in Iraq today, and our men and women are fighting them. Al Queda attacked the USA and I agree with the president that we should hunt them down, wherever they may be.

I can't change what I was thinking when we got started. I live too close to New York City to forget about the families that were torn apart by September 11th.

President Bush had the full support of our Congress when we got started. He had the support of many of our allies. You simply can't second guess that situation.

We simply can't walk out, when the lives of our supporters and troops are at stake. A plan has to be followed to get people out safely. A quick pull-out could be worse than our "escape" from Vietnam. There is not turning back of the clock.

Looking back, many of our congressmen, as well as our President made some very serious mistakes. We have lost so many valuable allies and supporters around the globe. Our long term effectiveness as a world power, but also as a controlling force in a world economy has to be rebuilt. There are many issues at stake.

It is unfortunate that liars, cheats and phonies will claim that they were not a part of the decision to be in Iraq. Where where they when President Bush was deciding to do this? So we will have to put up with a great deal of "Monday Morning Quarterback" calls when trying to pick someone to lead our nation after Bush is done.

I support the war in Iraq only because we are involved to quit in the middle without finishing would be wrong. However I don't think we can win or get out because democracy won't be accepted in that part of the world to many nations are concerned it would spread. Neither Congress or the white house will be able to convince the people we should sell them the arms they'll need to defend themselves against Iran and I'm sure they're waiting anxiously for us to leave so they can move in. Our track record with these affairs is not very good. We were right to go to Afghanistan we should have finished it and not gone to Iraq. I agree with the president on the second amendment and that's about it. He has us so tied up with the wars that we can't help ourselves with any other problems like mass invasion. We'll be the next Rwanda soon. This is the beginning of the end for us.

Yes i do. Even though its sad that so many soldiers are over there, their just doing their jobs. I do support bush and i don't understand why so many people hate him yet he won the presidency. But i think hes doing the right thing because i think we've progressed alot since the beginning of the war.

Bush is a great president. Clinton had 8 years to stop the terrorist, Bush only had 8 months. He is doing great at liberating the Iraqi people, & lifting our economy.

He said: Because the war made US economy to get rise. So

There was no any intention for create democracy there. The only reason for beginning the war, and killing thousands of the common people in Iraq,
was to repair US economy, under the pretext of freedom and democracy!

Yes and yes. I voted for him (after being in Iraq, aint't that a head-scratcher?) and I have seen the good we are going in Iraq. The Iraqis support the democracy we gave them, even though they want us to leave.

Plus the US hasn't been attacked since 9/11 and the economy is doing great.
