I can't remember the exact spelling. Methyliprodosodone? It was described as either a steroid. What effects will this have on my body? What can you tell me about this drug? I was given 21 pills. Take 6 the first day and 5 the next and so on. The swelling has gone down significantly thanks to a steroid/ benadryl shot after my hand swelled up like a softball after being bitten 9 times. Lost some feeling in my hand. It later came back. I have big blisters that are filled with pus. Anyways, what can you specifically tell me about this drug? Thank you.

You can also go to www.webmd.com and read all about the drug there. Never stop taking a dr. prescribed drug unless you ask them first. Good Luck!

its a steroid. take it exactly as perscribed and there shouldnt be any problem. Be sure to read the insert the pharmicist gave you. it will list the side effects.. for the blisters you can use gold bond plus or any good triple antibiotic ointment with lidocaine. if they burst , clean with peroxide, then apply a thin coat of ointment. bandaides optional. try to avoid benadryl and other drugs esp. alcohol-- these drugs may change the effect of each other
