Mike, your president wass supposed to go after Bin Laden..period..

Iraqis voted for a democracy, the problem is this elected democracy is unfavorable to the US..The US screwed up, you should withdraw without causing a civil war..

sgt_k your quote: Last time I checked, the "insurgents" weren't Iraqi. Sure, there are some former Baathists who are pissed that they can no longer steal and rape and murder whenever they want.

This is very doubtful , even under saddam the rapist would have been prosecuted..

I cant see why you are not complaining about RAPE in the US or even compare it to IRAQ..

Also, the new "insurgents native of other countries" you describe werent there in the time of Hussein..

Next time you fo to Iraq, remember that your occupier feet are not In Texas but on a foreign country..

Also you said majority of Iraqis wnat you to stay.. is this what your generals tell you?

The truth is it is the United States of America who is the real terrorist in Iraq. We will end up like Vietnam. On the losing end.

You are correct. Insurgents fight occupation. Last time I checked, the "insurgents" weren't Iraqi. Sure, there are some former Baathists who are pissed that they can no longer steal and rape and murder whenever they want. But the VAST MAJORITY of "insurgents" are from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the Sudan, Syria, Iran - just about anywhere except Iraq.

And before you say I am lying, let me tell you this. During my unit's last trip to Iraq, part of our mission was to transport these "insurgents". They will freely tell you that they are mainly foreign, and they have all come for the opportunity to kill Americans. The vast majority of Iraqis WANT us to stay there until the job is done and not one minute longer. But they want us to stay until it is done.

Your facts are as screwed up as your morals and priorities.

To quote the insightful entertaining Anime “Full Metal Alchemist”:
They are the Dogs of the Military.

They do what they have been ordered to do.
The higher ups such as the president have they’re own reasons, but the rest kill out of orders to do so… they either like it or hate it, but they are Dogs none the less, and loyal to their commander and chief and country through oath.

If they were told a special version of what defines a terrorist, they will accept that definition or at least act like they accept it. If they were then told so and so was a terrorist, and then told that they are to fight the terrorist they either do it or disobey orders.

In other words - by your own definition, we are fighting terrorists.

Get Over It.

The Iraqi people have voted for democracy, the US supports the Iraqi people. The people fighting the US are nothing more than a bunch of thugs and terrorists.

why?every one seems to be asking the same ques. , it is just that even after being a unipolar power since the end of cold war i.e. 1990's USA has not matured enough to its responsibilities.
