You can't make the dead hair (split ends) alive again. It simply HAS to go.
However, I started taking One-A-Day Maximum Vitamins about a month ago, and my hair and nails have started growing like mad. I have naturally curly hair, have not changed my hair products, and it looks more beautiful than it ever has. The Vitamins will DEFINITELY enrich your hair to make it healthier.

the straightening made your hair really dried out/burnt so that is why you have split ends. you should go to a salon 1 time a week to get a hot oil treatment. the treament specializes in smoothing you hair and stopping split ends from getting worse. or if you wanna speed of the process, just put really sticky or thick and creamy conditioner on the ends (only on the ends because the scalp will itch if you apply too much near the top) leave the conditioner on for about 15 minutes and then wrinse out. but don`t wrinse out completely, make sure you leave some conditioner at the ends.

First I would make sure you are using a good shampoo and conditioner and purchase a deep conditioner that you can use once a week biolage has a deep conditioner that has 5 separate one for each week also good shampoo an conditioner to go with it.
If you flat iron use sleek straighten system or Paul Mitchell has a smoothing system that will make the split ends lay flat. I do recommend the gloss drops you can apply them dry and it will
keep the ends weight down. Just remember to condition it while it is growing.

There is no way to get rid of split ends except to cut them. They will continue to split as the hair grows (avg hair growth is 1/2 inch per month) In the mean time I suggest you get products that will strengthen your hair as it gows and prevent split ends. Redken Extreme Shampoo/ Conditioner, C.A.T. and DeepFuel would bemy suggestion, as well as using heat protective products when drying and flat ironing-Redken Satinwear 02 and Redken Smoothdown Heatglide would be my suggestions. You can go to Redken.com to find a salon in your area that carries these. As for a cut, try layers-that will get rid of more of your split ends and allow you to keep the length. Hope this helps

Use a good conditioner. Pantene Pro-V works well, or try St. Ives Retorative Conditioner- my fave.
Use it once a week to help repair split ends.
Get or give yourself a scalp massage once a week for 10 minutes.
Get out in the sun for about 10 minutes a day.
Try taking the natural supplement Bioten. It helps with hair and nails.

try talking to a stylist they should be able to suggest something for you otherwise you are going to have to completely cut the split ends out, just a trim will not solve the issue. if you trim some of the hair and there is still split ends left the hair will continue to split.

First you're going to have to do something that's going to kill you. You need to cut your hair "above" the splits. Then you should keep your hair clean and moisturized. Try not to use any heat in your hair. Heat damages. Give yourself about 2 years before it's the length you're looking for. Good luck

I'm ignoring my hair, split ends and all, at the moment. It's finally long enough to get in a pony tail; that's the way I'm going to grow it out.

having your hair straightened has damaged it.. when you subject your hair to any kind of damage split ends can occur...
the only things that you can do to get rid of them are to condition your hair often, and have it trimmed often until all the split ends are gone..
i'm dealing with a similar situation (lots of split ends) and i recently had my hair trimmed... it helped but there are still split ends.. i am going to trim them off somewhat gradually because i also am growing my hair out
i hope some of this helps :)

The ONLY way to get rid of split ends are to cut them off. If you dont your hair will continue to split up the hair strand makeing it worse. So cut them split ends OFF. Get some good professional products to repair your hair and dont strighten it...that will only damage it!
