ok typical question i kno, but does he like me?

ok he does everything that is classified as flirting but hes a really good mate and says the reason he is so open and flirty with me is BECAUSE im just a mate, and he feels comfortable around me, and hes shy around the people he does like.
Stupid question i kno but its bothering me cos i think i might like him.

ok ignore the fact that i think i like him. is he really like that because he feels comfortable around me or is he trying to get MY reaction?

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

well, since he already told you that he likes you as a mate, then i guess there's no point in hoping that he likes you in "that" way. and if you do like him, save yourself the heartache and just ignore those feelings

u mention that he's shy with the person he like and he's only flirtin with his mate. So he only think u r his mate. that's all!

well if you like him then tell him that. you will be able to tell if he likes you by the way that he reacts. (don't do it over the phone, it won't be as personal.)
