you could hold a car wash, get some friends together and make cookbooks to sell, sell jewlery made by the kids, hold a raffle where you have to pay to guess how many candies are in the jar and the closest guess wins.. or you could take your lemonade stand further and make it more of a bake sale with foods and drinks. I with you and your kids luck with whatever you do<3.

If your children want to raise money for their own use, I would highly recommend odd jobs like taking out trash, mowing lawns, cleaning garages and etc (all with parental supervision of course) i agree with you selling lemonade and shining shoes are not very profitable.
On the other hand, if they want to raise money for a charitable cause, here's a list of ideas and opportunities http://www.intergate.com/~rclowney/Fundraising.htm.
Good Luck!

Absolutely. It's just uncouth and lacks class. If there isn't money for the adoption then that person has no business trying to adopt a child to begin with. You can foster a child (and the state will actually pay YOU) and then adopt that child for free. There are so many kids in the foster system that need good, loving homes. To fundraise for an adoption - no, it's just not right.

Try homemade pizzas. It is a door to door or family selling idea. You buy the ingredients, kids make the pizzas and freeze them and sell different flavors for around 5.00 a pizza. PPl love homemade pizzas and the kids have a blast making them. Plus ppl think it is so cute that the kids are actually making the pizzas themselves. Let me know how it goes if it works out for you. I know we had a blast.

they could go door to door with a parent, me and my brother did that for the American Heart Assoication. Also you could have a Bake Sale or have a yard sale and give the money to a fund.

Please don't let them try to sell something they made themselves. Most people won't buy it because they don't want to get sick. There are companies that supply things to groups who want to raise money (candy to sell door to door, stuff like that). You may want to check out some of them on the web. Even if you don't want to use one of them, you may get ideas. Or, they could sell their services (mowing lawns, washing cars, projects along those lines).
