Hitler was incredibly smart but also incredibly narrow minded, and he underestimated the will of people to survive. He thought that there was one supreme race, and didn't see that we as people as a whole have incredible will to survive against the worst odds. Its a human trait, not a racial one.
What brought Hitler down was his inability to see that.
Also I don't look at him as an idiot, he was just another man who didn't have the right role models growing up and didn't know any better. I mean he had a brilliant mind, he just chose to use his powers for evil instead of good.

nicely, Hitler declared warfare on the u . s . properly after Pearl Harbor, so seems extremely sparkling that a showdown with the u . s . is a slam dunk. it really is a touch uncertain as to precisely the position you're postulating yet another heritage. Even he had captured Moscow the Russians does no longer have surrendered, besides the undeniable fact that their warfare attempt would were seriously constrained. on the different hand Germ,an advances to the east of Moscow would were seriously hindered through the lengthy (and fewer than consistent partisan attack) furnish strains. really even at its furthest quantity the third Reich become already unsustainable. Partisans we are making existence depressing for the Germans through 40 4, and that would have only persevered to worsen. or maybe if if Russia turned right into a shadow of it really is former self, the perfect Allies nevertheless wildly outproduced the Germans. really you could postulate a protracted bloodier warfare in case you want, besides the undeniable fact that the concept that Hitler would have "conquered the international" is, really, stupid. even if if the u . s . and Germany did signal a peace treaty leaving The third Reich as some style of replace Soviet Union, it would have had about as a lot staying means because the Soviet Union. And more advantageous than in all probability would have fallen aside shortly after his lack of existence, if no longer faster.

There were a crapload of things involved and to learn all the reasons you would have to read a few books about WWII. I'll give a few simple reasons.
First of all he didn't have the troops to handle the entire world, granted he did a magnificent job of taking much of it over but to make a force that large from a country the size of Germany was impossible.
Next, he betrayed Stalin (making Russia hate him). This ended up costing him hundreds of thousands of people, due to severe winters and Russians who didn't care about their lives if they could take out troops (essentially suicide bombers).
Another stupid move was doing exactly what Churchill wanted him to do. Churchill bombed Germany's cities, knowing Hitler would bomb Englands cities in return. Since English war factories were not in cities they remained safe. Therefore England could continue attacking Germany without taking any major losses to the war effort.
To top all of this off, Hitler was racist against the Jews, causing him to waste countless numbers of men in attempts to exterminate the Jews. He had vast numbers of Nazis merely set up at concentration camps rather than out fighting.
As for why he was an idiot, he wasn't actually stupid, he just lacked common sense. Strategically he was a genius, conquering far more of the world then should have been possible. His main points of stupidity were his power-hunger and his hatred/bitterness.

Hitlers biggest mistake in WWII was attacking Russia. Up to that that point he was having little trouble taking over vast parts of Europe. He had a treaty with Stalin and it seemed Stalin was happy to just to watch and clean up what he wanted after Hitler was done. But Hitler attacked Russia. This gave Hitler 2 major war fronts against 2 large forces....they did not have the man power or the supplies to pull that off. Hitler over estimated his own military power and under estimated Russian and American responses.

Hitler wasn't an idiot. He came pretty darn close. Thank God for the British who saw him for what he was and fought for their very right of survival. Hitler actually had many supporters in the British crown and America. Ain't that right Joe Kennedy? When it was almost lost, America finally stepped in to help out, but that took the Japanese really ticking us off by their attack on Pearl Harbor. Germany then declared war on the US thinking we couldn't win against them and Japan. There were just as many "peace lovers" back then who didn't want any part of that war in Europe. So Hitlers mistakes were under estimating the United States, over estimating Japans resolve, and stabbing Stalin in the back. All three very costly mistakes on his part.

What makes u think Bush isn't deranged too and wont lead to a similar disaster... after all even Hitler was voted in by German conservative nationalists.
He was extremely popular and people actually believed in his war. From his point of view he was fighting for justice and freedom, exactly the way Bush feels about bombing hapless third world.
All war mongers fall by face eventually... that wot history teaches us.

Hitler in terms of IQ was a genius. He was also impatient and irrational to the point where his methodology was severly stunted, and he was over-confident in the ability of his troops. The Russians were better suited for fighting and that's why Hitler wound up in his bunker with nowhere to turn.

I think Hitler was an idiot because he was slightly deranged. He may have had some mental condition, and it was even speculated that some of it was due to the condition of syphilis that he may have gotten early on in life.
When Paulus was in Russia, he should have allowed them to fall back, instead of insisting they fight to the last man, just like he did with Romel. Just like the old song goes, Ya gotta know when to hold em, know when to show em, know when to throw away, and know when to run, or something like that.

Because he tried to conquer too much at one time. Had he condensed his troops, not tried to overtake Russia (especially in the winter), and had ample supplies he may have succeeded to a degree.
If you don't have adequate supplies going to the areas you've conquered you will lose that area. By spreading his army too thin, he had worn out soldiers, who didn't have adequate, food, water and clothing. They were so desperate for ammo that Germany began to melt down their coins for bullets.
As for an idiot - his rage and hunger for power increased over time and his strategies suffered. His military leaders feared him, and became disloyal. So as he conquered more, he became more conquered.

He wasn't an idiot. How many others could accomplish what he did with Germany and the Reich?
His failure was 2 fronts at one time... East and West..and the Winter in Russia.
