You can try the library, but if you are itching to start learning now, I've included some websites for you. You have to look, because it isn't too easy to find. Wikipedia offers a lot of information on individual dog breeds, and there are accompanying related websites at the bottom of each breed profile. Good luck!

are you talking about teacup breeds? This is very unhealthy, there are size standards for every breed for a reasons. Certain breeds have been bred for certain characteristics and size in order to serve a purpose, and breeding down smaller and smaller dogs serves no purpose but to statisfy some people's desire to have "cute" little dogs they can carry around with them. I would encourage you to locate several reputable breeders in your area and speak with them regarding the detrimental effects of breeding very small dogs...

I apologize if I've misinterpreted your question and you're really asking about how to breed a certain breed of small dog, like a chihuahua or yorkie...in this case, the best option is not to read a book but to talk with breeders and vets.

Some smaller dogs will not breed on their own and must be done artificially.
If you are experienced you can do artificials yourself but it sounds like you are not experienced. You would have to have your vet do a collection and they have him do an implant.
There are many small breeds that they have to do that way every time.
Many also have to have c-sections to give birth to the pups.
Small dogs can be bery hard to breed and very expensive to do also.

Check at the local pet store. Our local Petsmart has a lot of books on different animal subjects. Or ask a vet for a recommendation.

Best thing to do: Ask a vet. The other option would be to search for related books at Barnes and Noble or Amazon.
