So I met a guy nearly a year ago. Works for my company, but in a different state. We hit it off immediately. Have a blast together, make each other laugh, and others around us immediately noticed the chemistry between us. This is after we'd known each other only two days. Haven't seen him since last Oct, but we email a lot and sometimes talk on the phone--most of which is flirtatious. Will be seeing him again in two weeks and am so excited. It's work-related, but there will be some down time to hang out. And yes, we are discreet about the flirting--people can just tell there's something there in the way we look at each other. Yes, I do have physical thoughts about him, but that's just a small part of it (no pun intended). Am I in love or lust?

Well love and lust are hard to distinguish. Lust is more of a physical, flirty attraction. Love is, from the bottom of your heart, caring about someone, their well-being, and their happiness. I realized i was in love, when i discovered that I put him first over my own feelings, its kind of like a sacrifice thats mutual.

I would say there is some lust there but you haven't really been together enough for love, you might love each others friendship and flirting expeditions but you can't really be in love with him till you have spent some time together and really get to know each other

Its lust because you don't really know him you just think you do. Remember can write or say anything. Get to know the real him if you can but it is not love.

I don't know. It's too soon to tell. The chemistry is a good sign, but you need to get to know each other better. Enjoy it when you can, and if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Have fun.

I don't think it's either. Lust is more physical... love is more intimate than what you have described. I think it's definitely a crush though, good luck =)

lust!!! love takes time. enjoy the moments the two of you share together, don't rush things, and see where it goes.
