I am a woman in my mid 20's and I have been seeing this guy for a few months and we usually see eachother a couple times a week, which is fine for both of us. But, I am usually the one going to see him which I don't mind for the most part, but on three occasions when I have asked for him to come get me and he usually says yes but it never happens that way. Something always happens to where he can't come or by the time he can its too late to do anything. I really like him and everything and he says he likes me but, this situation is getting old. I want to give him another chance but I am not sure that is the move to make, after all, I don't want to feel the disappointment again but at the same time I don't want to be overly demanding either. What should I do?

I don't think its demanding to expect someone to meet you halfway, whether its in a relationship or even just a friendship. Your intuition is telling you that "this situation is getting old" and thats what I would suggest you listen to. Be open to meeting someone else who is ready and willing to take the time and effort to build something with you. This guy sounds either lazy, not willing to make the effort, not in control of his own life ("something always happens....") or just plain disrespectful. Botom line: you deserve and can do better.

We are in the same situation right now...but i have no intention of dumping him. Try a little harder, guys are like that they love to feel that they are important, needed and loved. Just go with the flow....i know it's kinda hard but there's a saying that if "there's a will there's a way"...

overdemanding don't get confused with compermiseing
he needs to help out and pick you up too you need to talk to him and tell him how you feel about him and tell him you want this to work between you two and he needs to pick you up time to time by the way the man is supose to pick the woman on a date anyway. good luck if he don't compermiseing then dump him because then he will get the habit of you doing everything for him and you defenatly don't want that.
