You may have hidredenitis suppurativa. It's is claimed to be a rare skin condition. I don't believe it's so rare. I believe it is mostly unreported or misdiagnosed. Until more people who are suffering from this sometimes painful condition come out of the woodwork, it will continue to stay labled as rare and that means no funding for research. Could you be a sufferer and not know it?

My husband had boils all the time the doctor never took them serious or that they were a problem I think they were one of the effects of his CANCER he passed away Aug. 2005 liver Cancer

I get them!! My doctor said it fights infection, but where is the infection coming from?
